Willowbrook Foods, Ireland’s leading grower and processor of salads and vegetables, has teamed up with Tesco to introduce an innovative way to encourage kids to enjoy a more balanced diet, using the humble spud and tasty vegetables. This has been developed working alongside Irish Food Ambassador and renowned celebrity chef Jenny Bristow.

Mighty Mash is a convenient, delicious, pure, fresh mash packed with veg power and no added extras, offers a hassle-free and tasty way for kids to enjoy eating more vegetables, providing up to one portion of the 5 a day in each pack and appealing to parents who find it difficult to persuade children to eat vegetables.

The use of friendly fun characters of Masher and the Mighty Mash Gang will help to make it easier for parents to introduce more vegetables into their children’s diets, alongside promotions and competitions coming on packs, in-store promotions, facebook and at

Jenny’s Cooking Corner will also be available through the web site, with an opportunity to download healthy eating tips, serving suggestions and recipes from Jenny herself.

The product will be launched in TESCO stores throughout Northern Ireland. Sandra Weir, Trading Manager for Tesco explained that the company is proud of the relationship it has built with local suppliers from across Northern Ireland, supporting their products.  In respect to Mighty Mash, Sandra added that “Tesco are delighted to be the first retailer in Northern Ireland to introduce Mighty Mash to our customers”.
