Jenny Inspires Culinary Excellence In BT Ireland
BT Ireland, the communications and IT services provider, combined an evening of fun and fundraising recently by hosting the first of two culinary master classes with Ireland’s Good Food Ambassador, Jenny Bristow.
The first of the master classes took place in Belfast on May 2nd and was a complete sell-out, attended by 80 people, made up of BT employees, their family and friends. The event featured a drinks reception, cookery master class and a raffle with prizes worth nearly £1,000 which had been kindly donated by local businesses and Jenny herself. All proceeds raised on the night went to the Leukaemia Ward at Belfast City Hospital, the chosen charity for the evening.
Those who attended the master class in Belfast were hugely positive about the event. Colm Gordon, a BT employee commented, “Although I wouldn’t really watch a lot of cookery shows on TV I really enjoyed the event. It was a great opportunity to socialise with colleagues in a less formal setting, and I was amazed by just how much Jenny managed to cook in such a short space of time. The fact that I was able to support a good cause by attending was another added bonus. BT and Jenny did a great job of putting together the event, I would definitely recommend it to a friend or colleague.”
The next BT Ireland culinary master class will take place in Dublin on May 30th and is almost completely sold out also. All funds raised from this event will go to Irish Autism Action, and raffle prizes have again been kindly donated by local businesses and Jenny.
