Cracker of a competition - you could win an ipod shuffle!!
Radio Cracker (Sorry Competition is now closed.)

Since it started broadcasting in 1992, Radio Cracker has been putting Ballymena on the map for all the right reasons. From digging wells in Brazil to providing a hospital boat on the River Amazon, schemes right around the world supported by over £750,000 raised by Radio Cracker have made Ballymena synonymous with generosity, hope and creating a future for communities that is so much better than they could have hoped for.
Radio Cracker carries out work right across the world and I was amazed when I heard about the variety of life-changing and life-saving schemes being supported by money raised by Radio Cracker. This Christmas time I am delighted to be able to lend my support to Radio Cracker by running this fundraising competition on my website and I would encourage as many people as possible to enter and help support this excellent cause.
I have the instructions for the Radio Cracker competition below with a few words from Adrian Pogue who is the Chairman of Radio Cracker and has been to many of these locations himself. I also would like to thank the editor of the local paper the Ballymena Times Des Blackadder, for also adding his support and those who have supplied the prizes.
Ballymena Times editor Des Blackadder added:"We have supported Radio Cracker since its launch in 1992 and are delighted to team up with www.jennybristow.com to publicise this fundraising competition."
What Radio Cracker Does
Chairman of Radio Cracker, Adrian Pogue, explained:
"Taking a look down a list of some of the projects supported by the listeners of Radio Cracker, we can see that there are many ways we can show God's love to our fellow man:"
- Digging wells in Brazil to provide pure, clean drinking water for people who previously had to walk for miles to reach the nearest source of this substance we take for granted here in Northern Ireland.
- Providing a hospital boat on the River Amazon, bringing medical care to remote villages only accessible by boat.
- Supporting the "Ballymena wing" of an eye hospital in India where cataract operations can give sight back to those who were blind.
- Helping to build a children's centre in Romania, providing education and work skills to young people who would have had to drop out of education after Primary School level because their parents could not afford to send them to the next level.
- Establishing a workshop manufacturing wheelchairs for polio sufferers in Nigeria, giving them mobility and creating much needed work for local men in the area.
"We would like to thank everyone who has supported our work over the years, from the businesses who advertised on the station, to the youngest children who brought in jars filled with their pocket money saved up throughout the year. Your generosity and thoughtfulness has benefited many people in countries all around the world, and I look forward to another good response to this year's broadcast.
Thanks to Jenny for her support and for allowing Radio Cracker to use her website to get our message across to a wider audience. If you have not tuned in to our broadcast already, we can be found at 106.3FM, or if you are from further a field, you can go to our website (www.radiocracker.org.uk) and listen in over the internet from anywhere in the world.
Jenny will be with us On Air over the Christmas period to take your questions on 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of December at 9:15am. If you email your questions to jenny@jennybristow.com Jenny will answer some of them live.
From everyone at Radio Cracker, we wish you a very happy Christmas, and a peaceful New Year. As you tuck into your Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, please spare a thought for those less fortunate than yourself, and help us bring some happiness, peace and hope to a world in need."
